Old vendetta | Tension fills Al-Marashda town after an assassination attempt in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored tension in Al-Marashda town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, after an assassination attempt of a person who was directly shot.

According to reliable SOHR sources, several people opened fire on a person to assassinate him, due to an old vendetta in 2013, when the victim’s son killed a person and hid.

Family fighting broke out among cousins of Al-Sha’itat tribe in Al-Kashkiah town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside over an old vendetta.
A fight with his hands and sticks erupted and soon developed into clashes with light weapons, igniting panic among women and children.
It is worth noting that tribal and family fighting frequently erupts from time to time over old problems and disputes, most of which lead to armed fighting.
