New joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour Al-Darbasiyah countryside amid flight by two Russian helicopters

Al-Hasakah province: Turkish and Russian forces have conducted a new joint patrol in western Al-Derbasiyah countryside.
The joint patrol, comprising eight military vehicles of Turkish and Russian forces and two Russian helicopters, has set off from Shirik village and toured the villages of Dalilak, Malak, Dhahr Al-Arab and Abbas to Al-Kasra checkpoint in Abu Rasin countryside.

The joint patrol then returned on the same road, passing through the villages of Taalak, Baraka, Barkafri, Quneitra and Qurmaniyah.

Turkish vehicles entered Turkish territory while, Russian vehicles return to Al-Qamishli airport

The joint patrols between Russian and Turkish forces in the Syrian border areas come as part of the Sochi agreement between Ankara and Moscow to monitor the area and ensure there are no SDF and heavy weapons in the area.

On September 22, SOHR activists reported that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a joint patrol in the eastern and western Al-Darbasiyah. The joint patrol comprises eight Turkish and Russian military vehicles and two Russian helicopters.
