After talks of opening crossing with regime areas | Public protests erupt refusing opening of the crossing near Saraqib in Idlib

SOHR activists have reported that dozens of displaced residents of Saraqib town in eastern Idlib countryside went out on public demonstrations between Sarmin and Saraqib towns, refusing the opening of Saraqib crossing that extends to regime-held areas, and demanding factions and HTS to liberate the areas instead of “normalization” with the regime, and opening the crossings that help improve the financial conditions.

On September 29, HTS security forces attacked Al-Rabat checkpoints of the National Liberation Front, tens meters away from Turkish forces checkpoints, at the entrance to Saraqib city in Idlib countryside, to seize and control checkpoints of National Liberation Front and to set up new checkpoints in the area. Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham also managed to control both sides of the road by 400 metres.

On September 24, Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham erected soil barriers on Sermen-Saraqib road, amid reports of the opening of a crossing linking regime-held areas and areas controlled by Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham, SOHR activists reported.
