Following protests rejecting curriculum | Autonomous Administration distribute “UNICEF” curriculum on educational centres

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern of Syria started distributing books of “UNICEF’s” cirruculum on educational centres in areas held by the Autonomous Administration, following a series of protests by teachers refusing to teach the curriculum of the Autonomous Administration.

On September 25, teaching staff and a number of residents of Al-Shuhail town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor have participated in a protest to express their rejection over the new educational curriculum developed by the “Autonomous Administration” in north-eastern Syria.

The protestors issued a statement rejecting the curriculum, which the teachers consider unacceptable because of the various violations of religion and customs of society.

On September 22, Several male and female teachers participated in a protest staged at Euphrates educational complex in Abu Hammam and Al-Kashkiyah towns in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside to express their rejection of the new educational curriculum developed by the “Autonomous Administration” in north-eastern Syria.
