Having Killed for proclaiming truth openly | People go on general strike amid closure of shops over killing prominent corruption warrior in Al-Bab city

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that most shopkeepers in Al-Bab city which is under the control of National Army factions in the eastern countryside of Aleppo closed their shops, as activists called for a general strike called in Al-Bab city.

The general strike comes over the killing of media activist Mohamed Abdullatif, nicknamed “Abu Ghanum,” and his wife on Friday, by unidentified gunmen riding in a Centa Fe car near Al-Furn roundabout in Al-Bab city centre in eastern Aleppo countryside.

It is worth noting that Abu Ghanum always declares the truth and is known for his constant criticism of the cases of corruption that are prevalent in all areas under the control of the factions in the countryside of Aleppo.

The dead man was leading a campaign against Al-Sultan Murad’s faction leader Fadi Al-Dairi for forcibly seizing people’s properties and land.

This comes in light of the security chaos that prevails in areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in and around “Euphrates Shield” area.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that unidentified gunmen in a “Santa Fe” car opened fire directly on a media activist and his wife at Al-Forn Square in the centre of Al-Bab city in areas held by Turkish-backed factions in eastern Aleppo countryside within “Euphrates Shield” area, killing them immediately, before the gunmen fled to Baza’a area in Al-Bab city.
