Large-scale raid campaign | Al-Sham Corps arrest seven civilians in Afrin countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Al-Sham Corps faction, which is close to Turkish intelligence, carried out a large-scale raid and arrest campaign in Burj Haidar village in Shirawa district of Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo on October 8. Al-Sham Corps arrested seven residents of the village for “dealing with Kurdish forces,” to collect ransoms.

On October 7, SOHR activists reported that members of a Military Police patrol arrested a resident of Al- Zaydiyah neighbourhood of Afrin, north-west of Aleppo, for “dealing with the former Autonmous-Administration,” in order to collect ransoms.

Meanwhile, members of Al-Sultan Suleiman Shah faction, known as “Amshat,” arbitrary arrested a civilian in Kakaryah village of Maabatli district on October 3. The man was released after paying a ransom of 100 USD.

On October 5, members of Al-Hamza faction stationed at a checkpoint arrested a civilian from Mistkah village, in Shaykh Al-Hadid district, on Satba road in Maabatli district of Afrin countryside.

On October 4, SOHR activists reported that members of a civil police patrol arrested a civilian from Jendires district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo from his workplace in the industrial zone in Afrin city for “communicating with relatives in areas under the control of “Kurdish forces” and regime forces in northern Aleppo on October 1.
