Renew bombardment | Turkish shells hit SDF-held areas north of Al-Raqqah

Al-Raqqa province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces and their proxy factions stationed in “Peace Spring” area have bombarded with heavy weapons the outskirts of eastern Ain Issa, M4 international highway and the western countryside of Tel Abyad in SDF-held areas in northern Al-Raqqah countryside. No casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored a series of ground shelling by Turkish forces and their proxies in northern Al-Raqqa countryside, where over 60 artillery shells hit Ain Eissa town and villages in its vicinity, causing huge damages to civilians’ properties. Moreover, ground shelling hit villages in western Tel Abyad countryside.

On September 15, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces and their proxies stationed in Tel Abyad city in “Peace Spring” area shelled Qaizly village in Tel Abyad countryside, Hoshan, Abo Naitana and M4 international highway in Ain Issa countryside, north of Al-Raqqah. This came after five days of tense calm.
