Suicide rate surge | Young man kill himself with war pistol in Kfar Lusin camps north of Idlib

Idlib province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a young man from Maarshmarin town in the southern Idlib countryside, after he shot himself with a military pistol in a camp in Kafr Lusin area in the northern Idlib countryside. The reasons and motives for his suicide remain unknown.

 

On August 21, a civilian from Kokan village in Ma’batli district killed himself on August 19, after a long battle with cancer.

 

While on August 20, another civilian hung himself to death for unknown reasons in Afrin city.

 

On August 8, SOHR sources reported that a married woman died in a mysterious circumstance in Afrin city.

 

The woman was found dead with a rope around her neck inside her husband’s house in Afrin Al-Jadida neighbourhood in Afrin city in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The body of the woman was taken to forensic medicine centre in Afrin city.

 

The woman’s husband was taken to the civil police headquarters to investigate the circumstances of the crime. The police later found out that the woman, who was from Hammam village in Jendires district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo, killed herself after disagreements with her husband.
