Factional infighting | Violent clashes erupt among National Army factions in frontlines in western eastern and northern countryside of Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported violent clashes erupted in separate areas as part of the ongoing factional infighting in areas under the control of Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo countryside.

Violent clashes have erupted between Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham on the one hand and Jayish Al-Sharqiyyah and Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah on the other, on the outskirts of Jendires and Deir Ballout village in Afrin countryside, amid similar clashes between Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham and Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah on on Qarzihil frontline and Ain Dara adjacent to Afrin.

Factional infighting have expanded east of Aleppo in Sousian village, east of Aleppo, where violent clashes have broke out between Ahrar Al-Sham and Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah, amid shelling and exchange of heavy machine guns amid reports on further casualties among warring parties, and the arrest of more members of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah by Ahrar Al-Sham and Al-Hamza Division.

Meanwhile, Al-Hamza Division and Ahrar Al-Sham movement managed to take control of the headquarters of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah in Tel Batal in northern Aleppo countryside.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that the fates of several prisoners of Al-Zira’a prison in Al-Bab city remained unknown, including a Shiite person, three Kurdish people and others, while factions claimed that these prisoners fled to an unknown destination, and it is not clear whether they fled or were executed by the factions.

SOHR obtained a copy of a videotape, which shows horrifying scenes in Madrasat Al-Zira’a (Agricultural School) Prison of Al-Hamza Division before it was controlled by “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah”, where prisoners are treated in a humiliating manner.

SOHR activists had reported that the death toll had risen to two members of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah faction.

A civilian was also killed, and three others were injured in clashes that erupted on October 11 between Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah and “Al-Hamza Division,” in the areas of “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates Shield.”

Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah took control of five villages during the clashes with the Hamza Division, and they are: “Freiriyah, Kafr Zeit, Tel Hamo, Tallf and Koukaba” in “Peace Spring” area.

“Amashat” faction, which supports “Al-Hamza Division,” took control of Mistka village in Maabatli district in Afrin countryside.

Meanwhile, Third Corps took control of the entire headquarters and camps of Al-Hamza Division in Al-Bab city, surrounded Al-Zagha village, and took control of areas held by Al-Hamza Division on some villages adjacent to the city.
