Anti-ISIS airstrikes | Russian jets target ISIS hideouts south-west of Al-Raqqah
Al-Raqqah province: Today, Russian fighter jets have executed several airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Al-Rusafah desert, south-west of Al-Raqqah. No further details have been reported about the number of casualties and material damages so far.
On October 6, SOHR activists reported that clashes with medium and light weapons erupted in the vicinity of Al-Shokhna area in eastern Homs countryside during the past 48 hours between fighters of ISIS, Luwaa Al-Qods militias and Luwaa Fatimyon, under aerial coverage from Russian jets.
Regime forces and their loyal militias announced the start of ground combing of Syrian desert, which extends between eastern Homs countryside all the way to western Deir Ezzor countryside.
The 11th and 18th Divisions participated in the campaign with Luwaa Fatimyon and Luwaa Al-Qods militias, which started their operations from Al-Sokhna desert eastern of Homs, coinciding with the start of a similar campaign under the supervision of the 25th Division in western Deir Ezzor countryside.
