Airdrop operation | SDF and Coalition arrest man in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: International Coalition forces, backed by SDF units, carried out an airdrop operation in Al-Hawaij town, east of Deir Ezzor.

The security operation targeted ISIS cells, Coalition forces arrested a person in Al-Hawaij town.

On September 3, SOHR activists reported that International Coalition Forces, with the participation of ground forces of Syria Democratic Forces, conducted an airdrop targeting a house in Al-Hawi area in Al-Shuhayl town in east Deir Ezzor countryside.

 

During the security operation, Coalition Forces arrested the house’s lessee and another man from Al-Mohassan city in Deir Ezzor countryside for “belonging to ISIS cells,” where the two men were taken to a security centre.

 

This coincided with escalating attacks by ISIS cells in SDF-controlled areas in north-east Syria, especially after appeals by ISIS to its supporters to help the organisation to revive, along the security campaign launched by the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Al-Hawl camp in the far south-eastern region of Al-Hasakah countryside.
