De-escalation zone | Dozens of regime shells hit areas in rural Aleppo and Idlib

Regime forces have fired at least 38 artillery shells, targeting Bayannin forest, Sarjeh, Fulayfel and Al-Ruwaihah in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside in “Putin-Erdogan” area.

Darat Azza city in western Aleppo countryside witnessed intensive artillery shelling by regime forces. However, no further details have been reported about the number of casualties and the material damages caused by the shelling so far.

This morning, SOHR activists documented the killing of a member of Tahrir Al-Sham from Abu Makki village after being shot dead by sniper of regime forces on Al-Sheikh Suleiman frontline in western Aleppo countryside, where western Aleppo countryside fronts witnessed intensive artillery shelling by regime forces.

On Wednesday morning, regime forces fired heavy artillery, targeting Bayannin forests, Al-Fatirah and Fulayfel in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside and Maarat Al-Naasan north-east of Idlib in “Putin-Erdogan” area.

Meanwhile, Al-Fath Al-Mubin operations room faction fired artillery shells on positions of regime forces in the villages of Al-Malajah and Al-Dar Al-Kabeer in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, south of Idlib.

Moreover, regime forces and Al-Fath Al-Mubin factions exchanged mortar shells on Kabbana frontline at Jabal Al-Akrad in northern Latakia countryside.

This exchange of fire coincided with an intensive flight by Russian reconnaissance aircraft over Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Jabal Al-Akrad.
