Ongoing clashes | Woman and member of Ahrar Al-Sham killed in Al-Bab city
Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a woman affected by the wounds she had sustained when mortars hit an area near a school for children with special needs in Al-Bab city. The mortars were fired from areas which have been captured recently by Al-Hamza Division and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Al-Bab city.
On the other hand, a member of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement was killed in clashes with Jaysh Al-Islam in the surrounding areas of Susyan town in Al-Bab countryside in northern Aleppo.
Meanwhile, Ahrar Al-Sham Movement and Al-Hamza Division fired mortars on the surrounding areas of Al-Bab city, which caused material damage to civilian properties. Moreover, violent clashes continue between “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” and Al-Hamza Division near Al-Haal market in Al-Bab city, amid a state of panic among the residents, because of the use of heavy machineguns in residential neighbourhoods.
Accordingly, the number of people who have been killed in clashes, indiscriminate gunfire and shrapnel of shells have risen to 18 fighters and civilians, and they are as follows:
-A member of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement was killed in clashes with Jaysh Al-Islam in the northern countryside of Al-Bab.
-Two members of the military police were killed in clashes between “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” and Al-Hamza Division on Qabasin road in Al-Bab countryside, north of Aleppo on Thursday.
-Four members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” faction:
- Two militiamen were killed in Kawkabah and on Jendires road in Afrin countryside on Tuesday.
- Two militiamen were killed in Qarzihil village in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo, on Wednesday.
-A fighter of Jaysh Al-Sharqiyyah was killed, on Wednesday, in clashes with “Al-Amshat” Division and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Jendires district in Afrin countryside.
-A fighter of Jaysh Al-Islam was killed, on Wednesday, in clashes with “Al-Amshat” Division and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Maabatli district in Afrin countryside.
-Four militiamen of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham were killed in clashes with “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” in Qarzihil village in Afrin countryside on Wednesday.
-Five civilians:
- A man was killed in Al-Bab city on Tuesday.
- A woman was killed in Burj Abdalu in rural Afrin on Wednesday.
- A woman was killed in Ain Dara in Afrin countryside on Wednesday.
- A woman was killed in Qarzahil village.
- A woman was killed in Al-Bab city on Thursday.
The death toll is expected to rise further as the clashes left several persons injured, some seriously, amid unconfirmed reports of more casualties.
