Amid HTS attack on Kafr Jannah | Bombardment targets Turkish military base, leaving several soldiers injured

SOHR activists have documented the injury of several Turkish soldiers, where unidentified shell hit the military checkpoint in Kafr Jenna, due to clashes after HTS attacked the villages from several frontlines.

SOHR activists reported that the Turkish base near Kafr Janna village in Shiran district in Afrin countryside was subjected to artillery shelling by unidentified source. However, no casualties were reported. This coincided with the eruption of clashes between Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah and HTS after HTS attacked positions of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah.

According to reliable SOHR sources, Turkish forces redeployed in Jinderes district in Afrin countryside and Al-Bab city in northern Aleppo countryside, amid the arrival of more military reinforcements including tanks and personnel carriers to Afrin, in an attempt to control the situation, after Turkish forces withdrew from the outskirts of Afrin city due to factional infightings erupting in the area.
HTS forces are still trying to control Kafr Janna village, amid arrival of huge military reinforcements to the frontlines in Shiran district in Afrin countryside.
SOHR activists reported that Turkish cars and armoured vehicles roaming streets of Afrin, which is under the control of HTS, with deployment of HTS forces extensively.
Moreover, Turkish forces deployed in joint checkpoints with HTS at the entrances of Afrin.
On the same context, violent clashes renewed in Afrin, as HTS attacked positions of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah in a camp near Kafr Janna village and the road linking Kafr Janna and Marimin.
