IS-IS resurgence | SDF member assas-sinated in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the death of an SDF member, where unidentified gunmen likely to be ISIS cells shot him dead in Al-Sobha town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that ISIS members attacked an SDF military checkpoint in the vicinity of “Abu Noura” well which is “ten kilometres” away from Al-Omar field base in Mashkh village in SDF-controlled areas in northern Deir Ezzor countryside.
Medium and light weapons clashes erupted between ISIS members and SDF members. No further details were reported about the number of casualties.
SOHR has documented 159 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 122 persons dead: 45 civilians, including two women and a child, and 77 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
