Jabhat al- Nusra attacks headquarters of rebel factions in I’zaz

Aleppo Province:

The violent clashes are still taking place between Jabhat al- Nusra and fighters of the rebel factions, where Jabhat al- Nusra launched an attack on headquarters of rebel factions this morning, including the Division 30 around the city of I’zaz north of Aleppo, accompanied by US-led coalition airstrikes on the Nusra headquarters, information reported casualties. Information also reported that some Islamist movements have supported Jabhat al- Nusra in this attack. It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that one of the Islamic factions kidnapped the leader of the Division 30, another commander and six members of the division, when they were returning from a meeting in the city of I’zaz in the northern countryside of  Aleppo, and the Division 30 accused Al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda in the Levant) of  arresting its leader and the members who were with him at the junction of Sejju near Izaz, while sources of Al-Nusra Front denied this. Reliable sources confirmed to the Observatory that the meeting was intended to coordinate between other factions leaders and the Division 30 , where sources from inside the Division reported that they had been trained by trainers from western countries to establish a military operation against the “Islamic State” in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo with support by the international coalition. It is worth noting that 50 members of the Division 30 entered Syria in July through Bab al- Salamah crossing and positioned in the village of al- Malkiyya after finishing from a training course by western countries in Turkey.
