Using refrigerated trucks | Iranian-backed militias transport rocket launchpads from Al-Mayadeen to Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Reliable sources have told SOHR that Iranian-backed militias have transported rocket launchpads from Al-Mayadeen city to Deir Ezzor city in refrigerated trucks used for transporting vegetables.

Observatory activists in Al-Mayadeen city have monitored several refrigerated trucks escorted by civilian cars with Gulf registration plates, where the trucks were heading towards Deir Ezzor city.

On October 25, reliable sources informed SOHR that Iranian-backed militias deployed at checkpoints in Al-Shera’iyah airport area near Al-Mayadeen city, “Iranian colony in eastern Syria,” pretended and claimed to be affiliated with Airforce Intelligence and denied their subordination to Iranian-backed militias.

Iranian-backed militias also pretended to belong to regime forces, raising Syrian flag, for fear of attacks that may hit their under-construction positions, after their positions were uncovered by SOHR, and their machinery and diggers were withdrawn from the area.

While on October 7, SOHR activists reported that the Iranian-backed militias started withdrawing the engineering machinery, which was brought to two airports to be used for gliding flying in Al-Haidariyah area near Al-Mayadin in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, where Iranian militias intended to establish runways for drones in both airports and used for military purposes.
