Failed assas-sination | IS-IS cells target fuel investor within SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen on motorbikes, likely to belong to ISIS, attempted to assassinate a person who invests in fuel before he managed to flee from them in Al-Takihy village in northern Deir Ezzor countryside within SDF-held areas.

SOHR has documented 165 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 124 persons dead: 47 civilians, including two women and a child, and 77 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
