IS-IS resurgence | Member of “Internal Security” Forces kil-led in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that a member of the “Internal Security” Forces (Al-Asayesh) was killed, when unidentified people, believed to belong to ISIS, targeted him with machineguns at the road of Al-Harijy village eastern of Deir Ezzor within SDF-held areas.

SOHR has documented 166 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 125 persons dead: 47 civilians, including two women and a child, and 78 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
