After pumping for ten days | “Alouk” water station goes out of service once again

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that “Alouk” water station, which is located in eastern Ras Al-Ain countryside controlled by Turkish-backed factions, went out of service due to power outage off the station from Al-Dirbasiyah Centre that feeds the station.

This comes after talks of the non-commitment of Turkish-backed factions within “Peace Spring” areas to the agreement, that was supervised by Russian forces, to operate Alouk station at its full capacity, and to prevent technical workshops working in Al-Hasakah Water Institution from fixing the damages.

On October 19, SOHR activists reported that “Alouk” water station in Ras Al-Ain countryside, that supplies Al-Hasakah and its countryside, started operating again, and water was pumped again towards Al-Homma station after two months of being stopped.
According to reliable SOHR sources, this came after the Electricity Distribution Centre of the “Autonomous Administration” in Al-Dirbasiyah city, supplied electric current to the station to make it operate and to reduce demand for water by residents.
