Joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour Al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: Russian and Turkish forces have conducted a joint patrol in Al-Darbasiyah countryside, Al-Hasakah province.

The patrol of eight Turkish and Russian military vehicles, with two Russian helicopters flying over the areas, has set off from Shirik village, west of Al-Darbasiyah, north of Al-Hasakah.

The patrol has toured the villages of Delik, Malak, Abbas, Alia and Dhahr al-Arab, reaching the checkpoint of Kusra village in the northern countryside of Abu Rasin.

The patrol then headed to the villages of Kairouan, Baraka, Atishan and returned from the same route to Shirk crossing. Turkish vehicles entered Turkish territory, and Russian vehicles entered Al-Qamishli airport.

On October 20, Russian and Turkish forces conducted a joint military patrol in rural Darbasiyah and Amuda north of Al-Al-Hasakah, amid intensive flight by Russian helicopters over the area to secure and protect.

This joint patrol comes as part of the Sochi agreement between Ankara and Moscow to monitor the area and ensure there are no SDF and heavy weapons in the area.

The patrol, comprising eight joint armoured vehicles, escorted by two Russian helicopters, departed from Shirik village, west of Al-Darbasiyah, headed towards villages located in the southern, western and eastern Al-Derbasiyah countryside to the west of Amuda, north of Al-Hasakah. The patrol then returned on the same route.

The joint patrol toured the villages of Dalilak, Salam Alik, Quneitra, Qarmaniyah, Tel Kadish, Ghanamiyeh, Karbatli, Jadidah, Tel Tayyiri, Tel Karamah, Bab Mahmoud, Khasti, Madourah, Khanki, Kharzi and Bahira.

Russian armoured vehicles returned to Al-Qamishli airport, while Turkish vehicles entered Turkish territory from Shirik village.
