Potential IS-IS members | Unidentified gunmen attack young man in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a young man with a gunshot, where unidentified gunmen on a motorbike, likely to belong to ISIS, attacked him in Al-Hawayej village in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and he was taken to the hospital to receive proper medication.

This comes in light of the escalation of ISIS activity in SDF-held areas in northern and eastern of Syria.

SOHR has documented 169 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 125 persons dead: 47 civilians, including two women and a child, and 78 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
