After expelling employees | Al-Shahil Surgical Hospital suspends work in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that the administration of the General Surgical Hospital in Al-Shahil town in eastern Deir Ezzor has suspended work until further notice, after the residents of the town expelled the employees, for not receiving job opportunities in the hospital.

It is worth noting that Bakara Hospital suspended working since the start of the month, due to repeated protests in Jadid Bakara village.

On October 3, the management of the hospital in Jadida Bakarah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor suspended work until further notice, coinciding with ongoing public protests against Autonomous Administration institutions, and for fear of riots and attacks on medical personnel.
This came in light of the run out of medicines provided to the hospital more than six months ago.
Schools and institutions also closed, due to protests and blocking roads in the town.
