Amid flight of warplanes | US forces and SDF switch members of checkpoints near river crossings

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored security mobilization in Al-Omar and Koniko gas fields in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, amid extensive flight of warplanes and drones over river crossings and over Darnaj, Al-Tayana and Suwaydan towns eastern of Deir Ezzor.

This comes as the US forces, with the participation of SDF, switched all members in military checkpoints near the river crossings, and replaced them with members of “Al-Sho’aitat” tribe, without knowing the reasons.

On October 12, International Coalition forces conducted a patrol of seven armoured vehicles setting off from their base in Al-Omar oil field, passing through Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, then returning to their base.
This came in light of ongoing smuggling operations from “SDF-“hled areas to regime-haled areas via crossings in the area.
