Coinciding with clashes | Fire breaks out in “sulfur” warehouse in Daraa

Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that fire broke out in a “sulfur” warehouse in Al-Hamadin neighbourhood in Daraa, without knowing the reasons, amid calls by residents for firefighting teams to interfere and put off the fire and calls for the necessity of staying in houses due to the rise of toxic smoke in the neighbourhood, sparking fear among civilians due to inability of firefighting teams to reach the site of fire.

The fire breakout coincided with violent clashes between military formations and ISIS in Daraa, amid closure of the roads inside the neighbourhood.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported renewed violent clashes between military formations and local factions on one hand, and ISIS members on the other in Tariq Al-Sadd neighbourhood in Daraa city.

Observatory activists documented the death of an ISIS member because of the clashes, in which the military formations and local factions managed to advance further and managed to capture new buildings in the neighbourhood.

Accordingly, the number of fatalities in Daraa have been risen to 19 since October 31; they are as follows:

• Five civilians, including two children, a media activist and an elderly man.

• Eight ISIS member.

• Five members of local factions, including a commander.
