De-escalation zone | New Turkish military convoy leaves for Turkey

SOHR activists have reported the departure of a Turkish convoy of nearly 40 troop carriers, members and heavily armoured vehicles from the “de-escalation” towards Turkish territory.

Accordingly, Turkish forces have withdrawn all members of the 8th Brigade from their forces that were deployed in the “de-escalation” zone, where nine brigades which are backed by Turkish forces; each brigade has 1500 members with their full equipment, tanks and heavy vehicles.

On October 29, SOHR activists monitored the withdrawal of a Turkish military convoy from the De-Confliction zone towards Turkish territory. The convoy comprised seven tanks and ten armoured vehicles and their crews, in addition to over 15 fully loaded personnel carriers.

While on October 26, SOHR activists monitored the withdrawal of a Turkish military convoy in southern Idlib countryside, comprising ten tanks and several armoured vehicles, in addition to nearly 20 personnel carriers towards Turkish territory.

This came as part of the policy of Turkish forces to reduce the number of their forces deployed in “De-Escalation Zone” after the ongoing calm for three years.
