Homs | Civilian kil-led in clashes between regime soldiers and masked people

Homs province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a person in clashes between members of a patrol of the regime’s Al-Bayada Police department on one hand and masked young men, who managed to cut the street and burn tires in Al-Seteen St. towards Al-Bayada Square, where clashes and random gunshots were fired with light machine guns between both sides.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the clashes erupted after a suspect, who was accused of “theft, looting and drug dealing”, was arrested.

On October 29, a fight erupted in a wedding hall in the Armenian neighbourhood of Homs city over beating a girl by a child at the wedding party, which soon evolved into armed fighting.

A group of gunmen fired indiscriminately, killing one person.

It is worth noting that individual and military weapons were spread widely among civilians, especially volunteer fighters of regime-backed militias, in areas controlled by regime forces, while the residents appeal to remove these weapons that claimed the lives of many civilians.

On October 24, SOHR activists documented the death of a child and injury of others, and they were taken to Al-Bassel hospital in the centre of Homs city, due to the explosion of a hand grenade thrown by a member of 4th Division Security.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the person that threw the hand grenade in a street of Al-Moshahda in western Homs countryside, belongs to a group of the 4th Division Security of the regime.
