Quarrels between two young men | Military tension among two tribes in Ras Al-Ain in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that Ras Al-Ain city within “Peace Spring” area in northern Al-Hasakah countryside witnessed military tension between Al-Bo Shaaban and Al-Okaidat tribes, after quarrels between two young men of the tribes that escalated to armed clashes, where the young man of Al-Okaidat tribe shot the other young man of Al-Bo Shaaban tribe, injuring him.

On October 11, SOHR activists reported that members of “Al-Okaidat” tribe, which belongs to “Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah” faction, attacked a military police headquarters which is run by “Al-Hamzat Division” in Ras Al-Ain city within “peace Spring” area in Al-Hasakah countryside, amid tension in the region.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the attack coincided with the arrest of a woman of the “Al-Okaidat” tribe by military police, without knowing the reasons for the arrest, which led to the eruption of clashes with RPGs and medium weapons, while the tribe imposed a security cordon around the headquarters of the military police, in addition to controlling Al-Hawarna checkpoint in Ras Al-Ain area, while those besieged inside the headquarters demanded the support of the “National Army” factions in the area, led by members of the “Al-Hamzat Division”, amid calls to the necessity of staying in their houses due to the random shelling between both sides.
