Deir Ezzor | IRGC transfers dozens of prisoners from Ayyash prison to new prison

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources in Deir Ezzor have reported that a special group of Iran’s “Revolutionary Guard Corps” has transferred a group of detainees from Ayyash camp prison to a newly established prison in Hawija Sakr on the outskirts of Deir Ezzor, which is located within one of the villas seized in Hawija by IRGC and owned by persons opposed to the Assad regime.

According to SOHR sources, nearly “50 prisoners” detained in “Iranian-backed militia” prisons in Deir Ezzor were charged with a number of charges, the most serious of which was the transmission of information to outside parties.

On November 12, SOHR activists reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reinforced their posts in Deir Ezzor countryside, where they erected soil barriers and dug trenches nearby Ayyash training centre. In addition, the Afghan militia of “Liwaa Fatemiyoun” has boosted its headquarters and posts in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, fearing potential attacks.
