Ongoing violations | Military police in rural Afrin arrest civilian from Idlib
Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that members of the military police stationed at a checkpoint near Jendires entrance in Afrin countryside arrested a civilian from Idlib city and hailing from Al-Muwali tribe for unknown reasons.
Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that unidentified gunmen kidnapped two young men from Aldana city on the road between Maidanki village in Sharan district and Raju district in Afrin countryside on November 14. The two young men were then taken to an unknown destination and robbed of their car. The fate of these two men remains unknown.
Meanwhile, during the past few days, members of Al-Sham Corps arrested a civilian from Kaunda village of Raju district in Afrin countryside for “filming a video clip of members of Al-Sham Corps while destroying an archaeological site on the outskirts of Kaunda village.”
A day earlier, a joint patrol of Turkish military police and intelligence arrested two civilians from Karmouk village in Maabatli district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo province, on November 14, for unknown charges against them.
Meanwhile, members of Al-Hamza faction severely beat a resident of Kafr Shil in Afrin countryside with iron bars, resulting in fractures and wounds. The civilian was taken to hospital for treatment, following the expulsion of robbers affiliated with Al-Hamza Division from a pomegranate field on the outskirts of the village.
