Second sui-cide in week | Wife set herself and two of her children on fire in eastern Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented a new suicide case in SDF-held areas, as a woman committed suicide in Al-Qanayah village, west of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, by burning herself and two of her children, due to marital disputes.

The mother and her son died, while the daughter survived. The girl was taken to hospital for treatment.

This comes in light of the increasing suicide rates throughout Syria, owing to the ongoing conflict in Syria and the dire living, psychological, economic, and social conditions and other reasons.

On November 14, SOHR activists reported that a young man committed suicide by strangling himself with a piece of wool inside his house in Al-Shaafa town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and he was taken to the hospital before dying.
