Abandoning newborns | Residents of Al-Waar neighbourhood find abandoned newborn baby

Homs province: SOHR activists have reported that residents have found a newborn baby abandonded in Al-Waar neighbourhood in Homs, where the baby was taken to Al-Walid Hospital.

This comes in light of the growing phenomenon of child abandonment across Syria for different reasons.

This is the 31st case of abandoning newborns since 2022, in different areas in regime-held areas, and the 9th case in SDF-held areas.
