Military escalation | Turkish forces shell several areas in NE Aleppo countryside and Al-Raqqah countryside

Turkish forces and their proxy factions have fired heavy artillery shells on the vicinity of Tel Rifaat city and Umm Al-Hosh village in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The shelling also hit the vicinity of Ain Issa town in Al-Raqqah countryside, the villages of Kafr Anton, Sogunaka, Abyan and Deir Jamal.

Turkish forces also fired heavy artillery shells at a military post of regime forces in Qarmug village, east of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

Moreover, Turkish forces renewed their heavy artillery shelling, targeting villages from Tukhar village to the village of Aoun Al-Dadat.

The shelling also hit Jabal Sayyad area in Manbij countryside, east of Aleppo. However, no casualties have been reported.

Today, border areas are witnessing an exchange of artillery and rocket fire between the SDF, regime forces and Kurdish forces on one side, and Turkish forces on the other.

A group of rockets hit Turkish town of Qarqamish, adjacent to Jarablus city, leaving two Turkish people dead, and six others injured, according to Turkish media.

According to SOHR activists, the source of the missiles and rockets was fired from the western areas of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, where SDF and regime forces military posts are located. However, none claim responsibility for shelling Turkish territory.
