Assa*ssination attempt | Unknown gunmen open fire on two civilians in northern Daraa

Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported that two civilians have sustained various injuries, as unknown gunmen opened fire on them in Al-Sanamayn city in north Daraa countryside.

 

This comes as a part of the ongoing security chaos in Daraa province.

 

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 485, which left 450 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • 202 civilians, including four women and 11 children.

 

  • 164 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

 

  • 41 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

 

  • 30 ex-ISIS member and members accused of “belonging to ISIS cells.”

 

  • Eight unidentified people.

 

  • Four militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th
