Protests in Afrin | Displaced people in Kuwait Al-Rahmah camp call for safe camps

Aleppo province: Many displaced people living in “Kuwait Al-Rahmah” camp have staged a protest in front of “Al-Saraya” building in Afrin city, north of Aleppo, demanding another safe shelter after the camp was hit by shelling several times ago.

On November 1, SOHR activists reported that several rockets fired from areas where Kurdish and regime forces are deployed in northern Aleppo countryside hit the outskirts of “Kuwait Al-Rahmah camp” in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo. No casualties were reported.

It is worth noting that Kuwait Al-Rahma camp houses approximately 750 families who were displaced by the ongoing raging war in Syria.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces fired heavy artillery on the outskirts of Tel Rifaat city, where Kurdish and regime forces are deployed in northern countryside of Aleppo.

On October 30, SOHR activists documented the displacement of several displaced families in “Kuwait Al-Rahma” camp in Shiran district in Afrin countryside northern Aleppo within “Olive Branch” area, carrying their luggage towards safer areas.

This comes after casualties including women and children were reported due to repeated attacks and random shelling on the camp, especially during factional infightings between factions of “Al-Hamza Division” and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah”, in addition to the tragical humanitarian conditions of the residents of the camp.
