Hours after arrival of regime military reinforcement | Turkish forces shell regime positions in Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani)

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that regime forces brought in large military reinforcement to Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) this dawn, at 04:00 am. The recently-arrived reinforcement comprised logistical supplies and at least 20 tanks, military personnel, artillery pieces and pickup vehicles with submachine guns installed over them, where the troops have been deployed in posts to the west of Kobani city.

On the other hand, a regime soldier was injured in heavy artillery fire by Turkish forces on Jarqali village in the east of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani). The Turkish bombardment also targeted several villages in Ain Al-Arab.

Observatory sources had reported that Turkish forces started a new round of artillery fire, targeting positions in the eastern part of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) and Zurafa village, to the east of Kobani city, in areas controlled by Syria Democratic Forces in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, the villages of Jarqali, Qarrah Mugh and Zur Maghar in the east of Ain Al-Arab countryside came under similar bombardment, but no casualties were reported.

This coincided with suspension of Turkish aerial operations since Thursday.
