Al-Hawl camp | Asayish thwarts attempted attack by IS*IS members

Al-Hasakah province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that members of Internal Security Forces (Asayish) thwarted, yesterday, an attempted armed attack on Al-Hawl camp, located south-east of Al-Hasakah, by unidentified gunmen, believed to be ISIS members, riding two motorcycles from Al-Khan village, 15 kilometres away from Al-Hawl camp.

According to Syrian Observatory activists, the residents lodged a complaint with Asayish that unknown persons opened fire on the residents of the village. Thus, Asayish forces headed to the village and traded fire with the unidentified gunmen, and then they fled, leaving one motorcycle behind.

On November 25, SOHR activists monitored shooting inside Al-Hawl camp in the far south eastern of Al-Hasakah, after several women of the “refugees” department attempted to escape the camp, before the camp protection forces of SDF arrested them.

According to reliable SOHR sources, nearly 12 women tried to escape the camp and they were chased by members of the camp guards, after armed clashes erupted between members of the camp guards and young men who are called “Ashbal Al-Khilafa”, causing the injury of two of the young men.
