To drive them to “compulsory service” | “Military Security” arrests young men in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that members of the regime’s “Military Security” branch in Al-Bo Kamal city eastern of Deir Ezzor arrested several young men at the checkpoints deployed in the vicinity and the inside of the city, to drive them to “compulsory service.”

On November 20, SOHR sources reported seeing regime security service and military police put on high alert at the entrances of Deir Ezzor city, as well as deployment of checkpoints and patrols, searching for young people who passed their date of joining the mandatory service to regime’s security branches.

On October 29, SOHR sources reported that Deir Ezzor city witnessed a security alert of regime forces, where regime forces deployed at security checkpoints and checked civilians’ identity cards near Al-Dallah roundabout in Deir Ezzor city in order to make them perform mandatory conscription
