Heavy rain | Baby di-es as mud house collapsed in Al-Raqqah

Al-Raqqah province: An eight-year-old boy died in Al-Amiriya neighbourhood in Al-Mansourah in Al-Tabqah countryside, west of Al-Raqqah province as the roof of their “mud” house collapsed due to heavy rain.

In the last hours, heavy rainfall hit different areas in Al-Raqqah and countryside, badly affecting the displaced people in the makeshift camps in Al-Raqqah.

In a humanitarian appeal and a distress call via the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the residents of Shalash camp appealed to organisations and Autonomous Administrations to help them and provide aid to mitigate the disaster that hit the camp with the demolition of dozens of tents amid the lack of alternatives to heating and most basic essentials of life.
