SOHR reveals truth behind death sentence issued by “Al-Sultan Murad” against three civilians in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists obtained special information that members of Al-Sultan Murad faction from Homs, who control Qartalak village in Shiran district in Afrin countryside, issued a death sentence against three civilians from the village, without referring to the judiciary.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the three civilians are a man, his son and his son-in-law, who were arrested on 15/10/2021 for false charges.

Moreover, a group of displaced people from Homs made false allegations against those three civilians claiming that the three civilians “killed a civilian from Homs city.”

The son-in-law was visiting his uncle’s house, where he was arrested for the same charges, provided that the civilian lives in Afrin city and was visiting his family to deliver money to his uncle, and was falsely accused of “killing a displaced civilian from Homs.”

The families of the civilians appealed, through SOHR, for immediate intervention to stop the execution, confirming that the accusations aginst the civilians are false and fabricated, and that all members of the faction of Homs falsely accused the three civilians without the presence of evidence and without handing the civilians over to the judiciary in the city.
