Security operation | SDF arrest smu*ggler in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that SDF-backed security units stormed, this dawn, the house of a man known by his initials as A. R. in Al-Shuhayl city in eastern Deir Ezzor and clashed with him, after having refused to surrender. The man, who works as a smuggler and runs a crossing used for smuggling goods and people, was arrested and taken to an SDF security centre.

 

It is worth noting that this region witnessed frequent clashes between smugglers and SDF-backed services.

 

On November 17, clashes erupted between SDF fighters and smugglers at Al-Shuhayl river crossing, which is supervised by SDF, in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor following disagreements over the mechanism of running the crossing. However, no casualties were reported.
