Fifth day in row | Total tense calm prevails across northern Aleppo countryside and northern and eastern Syria

Areas of north-eastern Syria and areas where Kurdish forces are deployed in the northern countryside of Aleppo saw complete calm, on the fifth day of cautious calm prevailing across those areas.

Syrian Observatory activists did not report any shells or even trade of fire.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that artillery fire has targeted several positions in north-east Syria, interrupting the tense calm which has been prevailing in that region for four consecutive day.

According to SOHR sources, several shells hit positions in the villages of Tel Sha’ir, Jarqali, Sheyoukh Fuqani, Zor Magharah and Ahmed Munir Farm in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).

Similarly, many shells hit regime positions in Ziyyarah village in Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani), but no casualties were reported.

Turkish artillery shelling targeted Abu Sarrah village in the countryside of Ain Issa and Kur Hasan village in Tel Abyad countryside, north of Al-Raqqah. No casualties have been reported.

Yesterday afternoon, SOHR sources reported that a Turkish drone attacked a post near the frontlines between “Peace Spring” and SDF-controlled areas, to the east of Ain Issa. However, no further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damage caused by the recent attack.

This coincided with flights by six Russian helicopters over the M4 highway, in the area stretching from Sarin base to areas controlled by the SDF-backed Al-Bab Military Council Forces.
