Smuggled to Turkey | Turkish authorities deport nearly 50 Syrians after days of detention

Turkish authorities in Klis province have deported 49 Syrians via Al-Ra’i and Bab Al-Salama crossings after entering Turkish territory via smuggling, detaining them for days in security centres.

On November 24, OHR activists reported that Turkish authorities detained the wife of “Abd Al-Rahman Issa,” a media activist from Al-Habit town in southern Idlib countryside, and her child who suffers from heart disease with the aim of deporting them to Syria, despite the need for the child to continue his treatment in a health centre in Turkey as his health condition will deteriorate if he is deported to Syria.

On November 6, Syrian Observatory activists documented the death of a young man who was deported by Turkish authorities when rockets hit displaced camps west of Idlib city.
