Aleppo | “Al-Amshat” member kil-led by Al-Hamzat faction amid mobilization of victim’s family

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of “Al-Hamzat” Division, which is affiliated to the “National Army”, have killed a member of Al-Sultan Sulaiman Shah Division “Al-Amshat”, while he was passing through a checkpoint in Maarata village in Afrin countryside within “Olive Branch” area north western of Aleppo, for refusing to stop at the checkpoint.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the victim belongs to “Al-Amshat” faction and hails from “Al-Muwaly” tribe, where the tribe raised fighting readiness in the area, amid tension between both sides.

This comes in light of the security chaos in areas held by Turkish forces and their proxies within the “Olive Branch” area.

On November 26, SOHR sources reported that a commander of the Turkish-backed faction of “Suleiman Shah,” aka “Al-Amshat,” opened fire on a militiaman of that faction, in the industrial zone in Afrin in north-western Aleppo. The militiaman sustained an injury in the leg and was taken to the military hospital in Afrin city, where the commander claimed that the militiaman was injured while fighting on frontlines in northern countryside of Aleppo.
