For taking pictures | Regime security patrol arrests young man in Al-Mayadin in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that a regime security patrol arrested a young man for taking pictures of the market of Al-Mayadin city eastern of Deir Ezzor, where he was taken to an unknown destination without knowing his fate. It is worth noting that the young man is a civilian who does not belong to any side.

This comes in light of the ongoing arbitrary arrests against civilians by regime forces in regime-held areas for unknown destination, and for fabricated charges.

On December 1, SOHR activists reported that the “Military Security” and the “Criminal Security” members launched an arrest campaign at checkpoints at the entrances of Al-Mayadin city “the capital of Iranian militias” in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, where young men wanted for “compulsory service” were arrested. Moreover, the campaign targeted motorbikes and prohibited the use of motorbikes in the city.
