Violations of 4th Division | 300,000 people displaced from Afrin suffer harsh living conditions in Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of the 4th Division of the regime are still harassing residents forcibly displaced from Afrin to northern Aleppo countryside and Al-Shaikh Maksoud and Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhoods in Aleppo for the second consecutive month, leading to the complete absence of diesel, negatively affecting the residents and caused power to cut off nearly 300,000 displaced people.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the 4th Division is still preventing the entry of diesel, gasoline and gas into neighbourhoods held by Kurdish and regime forces in Aleppo and its northern countryside, causing its absence in markets and causing most generators “amperes” to stop operating today, in addition to the rise in prices of a litre of diesel to nearly 8,500 Syrian Liras.

Residents fear the consequences of the absence of diesel from the city, affecting the bakery stores and putting residents in risk of starvation, with the regime adhering to its policy of starving the people to impose its agendas in the region and force residents to displace to be able to control wider spaces in the region, by emptying the region off the displaced people of Afrin towards northern Aleppo countryside.

On November 10, SOHR activists reported that checkpoints of the 4th Division had been committing violations against Al-Shaikh Maksoud and Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhoods in Aleppo city, in addition to villages and towns in northern Aleppo countryside within Kurdish-held areas, and preventing the entry of fuel materials to these areas for the fourth consecutive week.
