To strengthen its bases | “International Coalition” brings military convoy comprising 60 vehicles

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that “International Coalition” forces have brought a new military convoy to areas in NE Syria through “Al-Walid crossing”, coming from Kurdistan Iraq region.

The convoy comprises 60 trucks carrying logistic materials and fuel tanks, where the convoy headed towards “International Coalition” bases in Al-Hasakah province.

SOHR sources reported that several convoys of the International Coalition, carrying military and logistical supplies, entered north and east Syria, via Al-Waleed crossing on the Syria border with Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in the past 48 hours.

SOHR sources reported seeing over 240 oil trucks and trucks carrying artillery pieces, heavy machineguns military equipment, ammunition and closed boxes heading to bases of the International Coalition in Al-Hasakah province.

This coincided with the ongoing Turkish threats to start a new incursion into areas in north and east Syria, amid direct threats against US forces, which were manifested in the Turkish airstrikes on Istrahet Wazir base.

It is worth noting that SDF announced temporary suspension of joint operations with the International Coalition against ISIS in order to focus their efforts to thwart the Turkish threats following the violent airstrikes. The airstrikes had targeted grain silos, power stations, oil and gas institutions and infrastructure.
