Ongoing security chaos | Unidentified people detonate sound grenade in centre of Jassim city

Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that an explosion was heard in Jassim city in northern Daraa countryside, where unidentified people detonated a sound grenade in the centre of the city. However, no casualties or material damages have been reported yet.

According to reliable SOHR sources, Jassim city witnessed two explosions yesterday, where unidentified people threw a sound grenade near an electricity generator near Al-Amal hospital.

On December 1, SOHR sources reported that an IED was found in an outdoors market in Jasim city in the northern countryside of Daraa. A team of explosive experts of local factions have dismantled the IED, after evacuating the market from civilians and blocking ways leading to it. No casualties or material losses were reported.

This incident triggered a state of panic among the city’s residents over potential attacks by ISIS cells to take revenge over the death of ISIS commander in Jasim city on October 14, 2022.
