After death and injury of Al-Hamzat members | Viol*ent exchanged shelling between SDF and Turkish-backed factions in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that a member of Al-Hamzat Division was killed and others were injured, where SDF fired heavy artillery shells and missiles on positions of Turkish-backed factions in Anik Al-Hawa and Dawodiyah Mala Salman villages within “Peace Spring” area.

As a response, Turkish forces and their proxies stationed in “Peace Spring” area fired artillery shells on the vicinity of Abo Rasen town, Tel Al-Ward, Khirbat Shair and Ruba’iyat villages, where shells hit the bakery store of Al-Roba’iyat causing it to go out of service. Moreover, shelling targeted the centre of the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayesh” in Ruba’iyat village in Abo Rasen town countryside within SDF-held areas, amid reports of displacement of civilians towards safer villages due to the violent shelling.

On December 4, clashes and exchange shelling erupted between Tel Tamr military council forces under command “SDF,” and Turkish-backed factions following an attempt to infiltrate by Turkish-backed factions on the frontline of Umm Al-Kif in Tel Tamr countryside, north of Al-Hasakah.
The Turkish-backed factions withdrew. No further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damages so far. Otherwise, tense calm prevails in the rest areas of north-eastern Syria for the sixth consecutive day.
