Large military reinforcement | 1,500 regime soldiers, tanks and heavy weapons deployed near areas controlled by Manbij Military Council

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that regime forces have sent new military reinforcement from the central region to frontlines with areas controlled by SDF-backed Manbij Military Council. The recently-arrived reinforcement comprised 40 tanks, personnel carries, logistical supplies and artillery pieces.

 

According to SOHR sources, nearly 1,500 regime soldiers have been deployed in that region since the beginning of the latest Turkish escalation on November 19.

 

On December 5, SOHR sources reported that a convoy of military vehicles from the central region of Syria set out towards Aleppo to reinforce the positions of the regime forces in northern Syria. ”

 

According to the sources, the military convoy is of 25th Division special missions led by Suhail al-Hassan, crossed on the international road “m5,” and was seen just after midnight in Hama ]heading north.

 

The convoy included nearly 35 heavy machinery and trucks loaded with vozdeca guns and rocket launchers.

 

While on December 2, SOHR activists reported seeing large military reinforcement of regime forces arriving in villages surrounding areas under the control of the SDF-backed Manbij Military Council Forces in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

 

The recently-arrived troops, which comprised over 600 regime soldiers with full materiel, heavy vehicles, tanks and artillery pieces, have not advanced towards frontlines with Turkish forces and their proxy factions.

 

The regime’s military reinforcement have been deployed in Tel Aswad village, Al-Tayih, Jeb Makhzoum and Khafsah area, to the south and west of Manbij.

 

On November 30, Russian forces established a new military post in Tel Jijan village in areas controlled by Kurdish and regime forces in eastern Aleppo countryside. Upon arrival in the village, Russian forces raised the Russian flag and deployed field artilleries in the vicinity of the newly established post. It is worth noting that Tel Jejan is adjacent to Abla village in Al-Bab countryside, east of Aleppo, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions, where there is a Turkish military base there.

 

Russian troops sent military reinforcements, including dozens of soldiers, long-range field artilleries and logistical supplies. This is the first time Russian troops have deployed on the frontlines with Turkish forces.

 

A day earlier, regime forces and armed Iranian-backed Nubl and Zahraa militiamen brought military reinforcements including modern T90 tanks, troop carriers and hundreds of fighters. The military reinforcements were deployed along the frontlines with the “National Army” factions in the northern countryside of Aleppo. It is worth noting that this is the largest reinforcement since the Turkish escalation began on the evening of November 19. On November 21, SOHR sources reported seeing Russian military reinforcement of 25 military vehicles arriving at Sarin base in the southern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) and Al-Si’aydiyah base in the west of Ain Al-Arab city, east of Aleppo.
